The lightness and freedom of these first weeks out of lockdown feel like wings of hope that our world will move forward. More conscious awareness, a little vulnerable and some of us with tentative hope for a future reconsidered. Seeing and touching loved ones, family, friends and even meeting new people is deliciously settling my hungry soul.

This Sunshine and Lavender Yoga Day Retreat is an opportunity for us to come together. A big, resounding YES! To gather, to share food, movement, laughter, tears and time. To look forward into our future and feel what we want to keep from this deep time of incubation and what needs to be released. A little time to discover what has served us and what we can surrender into the earth. 

The essence of lavender, the last weeks of summer sun, the hype and havoc of sun deprived goddesses has subsided into natural flow and ease as we prepare to embrace autumn. Let’s take time to pause; we will take a day and take a breath - to come back to our center and contemplate the cooler days ahead. A sun-drenched day amongst those of us who seek to nurture and share - a day of lavender and fluid, flowing yoga experiences. Rest deeply in supportive company and embody the practice of retreat.

Hiiiiii! It’s me, Bex!!! I am an actress, director, yoga teacher, intuitive and gluten free expert with a mix bag of outrageous life experiences.

Of all the things I have done, finding stillness, and peace on my inner archives, has been a different kind of challenge. One, I accept in my daily yoga and meditation practise. One that has led me to becoming highly intuitive and simply just living what the NOW has to offer! My classes are safe, fun, inquisitive, with a touch of ‘woo’.

More about Bonnieheath and your day…

Upon arrival there is a spacious parking lot where you can park and enter the estate. There will be team members and signs to guide you the the registration area. As you come through you will be guided to the orientation circle where we will acknowledge the land together.

We will head to the yoga class area. Bring your mat and any other props you might need for a comfortable yoga experience. Denise will lead us through a samasa vinyasa flow yoga experience that will be accessible for beginners through to advanced students.

After the yoga class you will head to your mini session and/or pick up your lunch or out to the labyrinth walk. There will be a wagon to bring you to the labyrinth if it is too far for you to walk. The Labyrinth takes about 40-60mins to walk depending on your pace. A great way to turn inward and reflect or to open up to spirit and listen deeply.

You are able to book additional sessions where available - click on the registration tab and you can purchase the extra session there. You will get an email and confirm that booking with Denise.

There will be time for shopping, walking, drawing, painting or visiting with friends and family. Bring your art supplies, we will have some limited supplies available.

We will end the day with an Angel Walk and a closing circle.

Retreat is Nobel …

The real transformation that has long-lasting effects and can change us in more ways than one comes from giving ourselves time to dive in and be present. We may feel a physical difference initially, but we can take that experience and watch it develop. Let the experience of retreat envelope life and lead us to new places of acceptance, of power, rejuvenation, and enjoyment.

When we approach somatic movement and yoga practice as exercise, you might move better. You also might feel better, but the way in which the rest of life is impacted may be limited. Exercise or robust movement is an important part of life but for many it is something we do with a sense of “getting it done” while others may dread it.

When we approach somatic movement and yoga with a spirit of discovery, a willingness to see what else can happen or what else can we know, then we are one step closer to claiming our full human potential to learn and grow. We give ourselves permission to learn, to change, and to be open to new possibilities.
